Cptn, did you call Discount? I've also asked about their fleet and they have always stated their jeeps are 1-2 years old at most. I recall that a few months ago they had 2008's. In my mind, that reduces the risk of having that great conversation where you hear "we never would have told you we'd bring a new car to you on STJ because we don't do that," which I acknowledge is a risk and is one I'm willing to take.

Evidently, Budget has come a long way toward offering good service recently, and from the sounds of this post by Tuxedocat, they are even working through some things with the STJ renters - even exchanging vehicles car via the barge. Interesting - and a long time coming!

Fowst yes I called Discount, he didn't have a very friendly demeanor was sorta put off by it. Said cars were new so ya should't have a problem.
