Berkfamily, You are so right about the information, I bet I've been gathering info from this forum for the last two years. I have a 3 ring binder with every possible bit of advice you can think of. It's time I contributed a little after taking in so much.
Being the lurker I WAS I read your reports also, glad you had a good time but how couldn't you.

You got it, but how do I follow Jorge, I'll give it a shot though. We are really looking forward to Villa Capiz, the view looks awesome! Last year we were in Villa L' Esprit De La Vie looking out over Ditliff Point. That was a very nice Villa.

Coden, thanks and my wife made me come out, I think she got tired of my lurking after all this time. If there's anything I can help with just ask. We took a very cool Catamaran trip to Foxy's aboard the "Soma" out of Cruz Bay last year, excellent time and Nils and Sam were a blast.

Mahobayb, Thanks. Isn't this weather just great here, rain every other day and sun 5 times in the last month. I'm considering quitting my job moving to St John and opening up a Coney Island. I could call it Island Coneys. If only I knew it would work...
I have friends in your area also on Gross Isle.
Have a good trip and let us know how it went when you get back.

Welcome Tom! I know about lurking. I am much more addicted than my posts suggest! I check what is on this site WAY to often:) It is fun though, and gets me even more excited for our trip!!

I am so thankful it's not snow. Yeah, Grosse Ilse is just a skip across the lake. Nice place. Island Coney's would be cool. My friend (Islandgirl) and I were just talking yesterday about buying a small piece of STJ land and I would start a greenhouse and she would do her travel agency thing. Shows how we are.Who needs plants on a tropical island and who wants to travel away from STJ??? Sometimes we just get silly. St John DREAMERS

The 16th to the 26th. We are staying at Gallows so we will be there when you arrive on the 24th. They will give you a welcome punch upon arrival. Maybe we can offer you a second, third or fourth welcome drink....depending on where you started?

MarciaMarciaMarcia,
You have a lot of first names...anyway the rum drinks sound great we'll have to do that. We will be there before noon on the 24th with our friends from Denver, we have 9A for that night then off to the Villa.
I think I'm out of control with this new toy (forum), It's very addicting.

Welcome!
I've recently joined the forum too. We'll be staying at Villa Capiz April 29-May 6th. So, like Mary Beth I'll be anxiously awaiting your trip report too! It'll be our first trip so we are extremely excited and counting down the days!

Nic In KC,
No problem,I'll be glad to post information and pictures when we get back. You are going to just love the St. John. I don't know whats worse, never been and anticipating what it's going to be like or knowing what it's like and counting down the days until you go back...

Tom,
Welcome aboard!! I followed (not lurked) this board for close to 5 years before our first STJ visit this past Nov/Dec. I say followed because I started asking questions right off the bat. After reading this forum for that long, I really felt like I knew my way around, and it made our first trip more than memorable.
Glad to see you joined the fun!!
