That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

PS Thanks for the vid link. No doubt about it - there's a whole lot of gushin' goin' on.
And all it does for our president is to put a lot of undue pressure on him...Pressure that he doesn't need. However, one would have to admit that he fed into it during the primary and general.

I will never believe that those people just "happened" to faint while there was a camera on Obama. And now all of a sudden there is no fainting? Have his speeches become any LESS dramatic?

I have to say...I was watching some show late last night, and they were procalaiming the Obama's "The First Family of Fashion"...You know, Obama has a BEAUTIFUL family...His girls are adorable...But Bush has a beautiful family too, and I would say that his two girls are also on the cutting edge of fashion...You heard none of that when he was in office...Now, to me this is senseless, mindless crap, but it just feeds into the perception that the media is fawning over this guy, to put it nicely.

Joshie,
You haven't answered the "what's with Oprah picture" question. Why is it on this forum?

What is 'inspired' about a picture of Oprah? Good Lord, there is waaaayyy too much worshipping of celebrity these days.

I think I am going to add this one to my signature...I think it is inspired:

I got news for all you doubters out there. The Big O has already been chosen as one of the GREATEST of ALL TIME. If fact, he has been immortalized with a bronze bust and a multi-media recounting of his life story that I saw in Springfield MA.

He's already been inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame?

Wow, and all this time I simply thought he was a "weekend warrior" like the rest of us!

I will not doubt again!

How 'bout this one, SJ?

From the LA Times:

There is only one Big O.
Oscar Robertson (before your time) averaged a triple double for several seasons. He starts for me on any all time team.

I am a sports historian...I know the legend of Oscar Robertson from the University of Cincinnati well.

Many considered him the greatest player who ever lived, prior to Michael Jordan. Many still consider him to be the greatest player who ever lived.
