John's memorial today was simple, solemn and moving. Amy put a bunch of photos on poster boards, a lot of forumites were in the photos and it was good to feel your presence. Amy mentioned how moved She was by the support she was seeing from her forum friends. The "Baranzano" written in sand on the webcam was a favorite and had family amazed at how far away John's loss was felt. A lot of folks had heard various St. John stories and we may have some more newbies on island this fall. During the eulogy Jorge told a DNA story about villa gravity and a webcam that brought back an awesome day with an amazing sunset. There were a lot more laughs than tears.
See ya on the island.
Cheers, RickG

Glad to hear. I know that a lot us that couldn't be there in person were there in spirit. But I'm glad that some of John and Amy's closest friends from the forum were able to be there, and that John was remembered with laughter as well as with tears.
