Don't know why the camera questions got on this thread...but I did get the Olympus waterproof camera for our trip ...sorry to say...I hated it!!!! I could not see a single thing in the screen on sunny days or underwater!!! It was like looking at a black screen. I just kept my fingers crossed that I was taking a picture of something!!! And the buttons are very tiny. Out of the water, I stuck with my Canon.

While I'm on this topic, I should add that "you know you're addictedd to the VI travel forum when you immediately think of your Virginia forum friends when you hear the tragic news out of Virginia Tech. today." I was talking to my husband and my middle son earlier about flip-flop's nephew, Suzi's niece, and Robin's son. They were like, "who?"

Thank you waterguy. I'll see about that.
I hate to hear that, Suzi. I don't know if I can still cancel my order or not.
It's my fault that the camera questions got here. It came from a post a week or so ago that I put on this topic. Sorry! Which Canon do you use?

When you tell your husband you are going to try to plan your next trip to coincide with your forum friends' trips and he looks at you like you've lost your everloving mind.

When you're planning an event and every time you write the board of directors to tell them the cost of the soda bar, you write beach bar instead.

Vicki- but it's gonna be so fun! :)

Thanks, Waterguy. I will definitely get the anti-glare screen cover. I'm glad you like your 720, because my 770 has already shipped.

Vicki,
I love the quote you have under your posts! That has been one of favorites since I first heard it.

kygirl, I just received my Olympus 770SW yesterday. It is so little. My husband loves it. I'm going to order the anti-glare screen as well. Sure you'll like it, too. I've ordered 2 more batteries as well. I'm ready to test it in the water!

Thank goodness it's in 18 days. May 5-12. Sounds as if you'll be there right after us. We'll try to help Jorge with real-time trip reports and send some thoughts on the camera along with some pictures! In case we don't catch up with Jorge & Barbara, we're taking this laptop. Don't think we have wifi in our villa, but we'll try to find the hot spots. SteveS sold me on the camera!

We will just miss you guys! I'll be watching for the real-time updates from you all.
Do you, by any chance, know any Echols from Arkansas?

No, I don't know them but that isn't saying much. I moved here from Oklahoma 8 years ago and was immersed in my job until last year when I decided to be a stay-at-home mom. My husband and his family are native Arkansans and they know a ton of people.
