Villa Jumbie review

Post by poolmom »

We just returned from St. John and we stayed at (Villa Jumbie). It was everything and more. The house is beautiful and well equiped. We cooked in a few nights and there was plenty of cooking utensils. The only thing that the kitchen did not have was a cookie sheet or a broiler pan. We made do. The gas grill was really nice to have. The view was very nice. The picture does not do it justice. Very roomy and large enough for two couples. The bedrooms and bathrooms are equal. Plenty of privacy. The best part of the house was the wrap around porch. Very nice comfortable furniture. Ceiling fans across the porch help keep it comfortable. We really liked the location in Coral Bay. The driveway is steep and curvy but you get used to it. The only negetive is it gets daylight very early and there are no curtains. You have to shut the storm shutters for the bedroom on the ground floor to have privacy. Not a big problem. We would rent it again in a heartbeat. Having air throughout and washer and dryer was a big plus. We didn't use the pool much but it was nice and fairly warm. It gets direct sunlight. They provide some pool floats, beach chairs and a cooler with ice packs. I hope this helps anyone that is interested in staying there.

Thank you for your review. Looks like a nice villa. Where in Coral Bay is it located. Can't quite tell from the pictures.
Thanks

Right on!
We were there from 5/5-5/13 and were BLOWN AWAY by how wonderful that seemingly small villa was.
Wonderfully larger space, and can't give enough thanks to the owners, as well as Cimmaron-especially Crystal (our villa greeter) for helping us feel "at home".
Absolutely perfect.
Like most villas, the pictures do NOT do it justice!
It's just up the road on Seagrape across from the fire station by Skinny's...
I'm SO happy you enjoyed it there, as we did just a few weeks ago!
We've been home a little while now, and, assumedly, like you,- we're still there!!!
Can't imagine how Karen & Tom could ever imagine the gratitude that they share!
SO SORRY to hi-jack a thread, just very grateful.
Smiles-
MJ

Mahojim, we got there the day that you left. we were there May 14th-21st. You didn't hi-jack anything. Glad to hear you loved it too. Wish we could have met. Did you ever meet up with Boston Mike? we got to spend a little time with them. I love the vibe and laid back feeling everyone has.
