Try Two Sandals By The Sea, a bed and breakfast that is owned by a lovely couple. Walking distance to Red Hook in about 10 minutes. I live there for awhile when I made the transition to living on St Thomas.

Re: Thoughts on Culebra or Vieques...?

Find a small place in Esperanza, the island is lovely, quiet and the people friendly. I like Vieques so much I am considering relocating there. If you need a day or night of fancy, W Hotels has a place there. Very Chic chic and the spa is nice.

Not sure, I know they stopped after the fire there a few years ago. You could check out BVIs website and verify.

You better pray Trump isn't elected. The Republican Party platform includes some significant gutting of the EPA and their power. This project will fly through...

Re: Here is something you can do to preserve the reefs

Signed but realize, please, that this is a very, very, very small part of the reef deterioration in the Caribbean. The main causes are increased runoff from the overwhelming amount of new construction, over fishing and disreputable diving. A classic example of this will be the new marina proposed in...

During high season it will be, the BVIs are a huge, huge yachting and sailing port.

Off season may be a tossup.

All the best to all! Owning a business on the islands is very stressful, in itself, adding this mess from landlord's piles it on.

Re: Waterfront Development Planned for Cruz Bay

Won't matter, it is his land and he can do what he wishes if he gets the permits. Here's hoping the environmental approval doesn't come through, but I doubt this will be a sensitive area like Coral Bay. St John is becoming more commercial by the day, it's attractive quaintness long replaced by its a...

Re: Racism?

No real danger, when I lived there I met several white girls that were a very distinct minority at school and they never seem to have issues. There might be some incidents, nothing violent, I recall that happening to me when I lived in SE Asian countries. As long as they are respectful of others I a...
