www.cyoacharters.com/ Capt Jay on this forum works for CYOA doesn't he? Travel Talk On Line BVI has a very active sailing community. There are some posters/sponsers that run crewed charters out of the BVIs. Yes I do work for CYOA, we don't do fully crewed charters. We are a bareboat company. We do ...

I could be wrong about this but i think there is at least one captain at Ocean runners that is liscensed to take out more than the usual 6. I think she has an advanced liscense that allows this. I do know that Ocean Runners will sometimes look the other way too. It has nothing to do with the level ...

One week ago today, we (6 adults and one two year old) chartered a boat from Ocean Runner with a captain. Our Captain Jason was awesome and we had a great day. Snorkel stops, shopping and drinks at Foxy's, lunch at Foxy's Taboo, bubbly pool, drinks and beach time at Ivans, Soggy Dollar, and Seddy's...

I was at the Beach Bar when they arrested Bob. They took him off of the boat on the beach. There was no "raid". It was a standard felony arrest. Several guys and some handcuffs. If they executed a search warrant on the business it wasn't at the same time as the arrest. It also seemed to ha...

Hook Line and Sinker will be closed during Carnival, I also know that the French Town Deli closes for part of it. But now worries the McDonalds is always open even though you can rarely get service. :-)

We have chartered with Kevin several times, twice last week when the Rednecks were in. He does a great job. It will cost a little more, "fuel surcharge" if you go to Virgin Gorda/The Baths. We did Jost one day and Virgin Gorda the next. The boat is a New England style Lobster Boat, built a...

Three or four months out is not that last minute. The real problem is likely your dates or days of the week. June starts what we call the second high season. Kids out of school, discounted rates etc. Over the past few years in the charter business we have been extremely busy those first few weeks of...

It is a complacent and UN-professional attitude with a very blase' ethic that allows this to happen. Yep the rock has been there along time. The ferry captains cut several markers out of arrogance to save upward of a minute or two on these runs. My understanding is that the car barge has an enormou...

Actually the Kon Tiki will soon be back. It is owned by Cruise Ship excursions Inc. The same people that own the two Castaway Girl Cats. They have spent a small fortune refitting the boat. It recently did a wedding party for some friends of theirs. They are awaiting final Coast Guard approval on the...
