Re: TD 9 - Tropical Storm/Hurricane Isaac

FYI - I put together a little video of a walk through Cruz Bay today. Things are very quiet with the storm passing by... a bit of rain, almost everything closed, and lots of big waves and wind. Haha, holy cow pnoeric. I actually know the dad of the kid in that picture. It was taken several years ago at the wild animal farm near Callaway Gardens in Georgia. It has been a recurring post on UGA football message boards ever since. Made me laugh out loud when it showed up here. How funny! What...

Re: Tell me about Swogjan’s Dragon, Ixora, Skyridge, Coral R

Looking at villas for 4 adults, 3 teens. Would like a pool, Coral Bay area, on the affordable side (under $6k for high season.) hi Chicagoans, I don't know much about the villas you mention, but you may also want to look at: In The Stars (around $5200 for your stay, discount may be available) Rainb...

It should be available at Chelsea Drugs (in the Marketplace, next to the new sushi place, Zero Sushi) without any problems... though it'll probably be cheaper (like almost everything) on STT.

Re: massage, John and I have been to Drift Away day spa several times for massage and it's great. (Last time we were there, we actually did a package that included a mani/pedi and a facial, which were also very good.) They're located above St John Market, right by the Westin.

I agree with what everyone else has said-- and can confirm that alcohol is cheap here on the islands. (BTW we always get our bottles of wine at Pine Peace... it's not a fancy place, nothing like Starfish Gourmet, but they have a decent selection and good prices.) Whenever I'm back in the states, I u...

Re: Waterproof camera

So I'm trying to decide what to use for our trip in may. ... I would like to not have to spend over $300 since at home I typically use my other camera. Wish I could rent one! ;) Mel, just to add one thought -- you mentioned renting one... I know that for many photogs stateside it's common to rent e...

Re: Villa Massage

Who would you recommend for the best couples massage at your villa? Hmm, I know a great person for massage; she works at one of the popular day spa on the island but also has her own table and can bring it to you. I would imagine she has colleagues that could work with her couples massage. If you'd...
