Re: Crystal Seaview vs. Reefside Villa

I have stayed at Reefside and would never rent this villa again. The door from the main house to the master was more like 1/2 a door. A/C was out I. 2 of the bedrooms and never could get them fixed.

Re: GoPro help - On island now

Beach Bum is probably your only chance. If they don't have one for you to use, you can buyone for less than $10. Never hurts to have a back up.

Re: Salt pond for kids?

I the OP is referring to sea urchins. The entry for first 1/4 of Salt Pond is free of sea urchins. As far as the stickers in the sand get there early claim the first picnic table and use the shade of the tree (or in the sun to the left) for chairs and towels and you are sticker free.

Re: Salt pond for kids?

We just back from STJ. We went to Salt Pond by 9:00 and grabbed the first picnic table in the shade. Works great if you are an early riser.

Re: Big Thanks

They are great to work with. I've rented from Catered To multiple times and have always been very pleased with their service. I emailed Jason the other day about upcoming stay and he couldn't have more helpful. Will use them for our future rentals.

Re: Cruz Bay options

We have stayed at Gallows point and loved and we have stayed at Cruz View Villas and like it. Here is the link to unit we stayed in during 9/11 and then my son honeymooned in this same unit. It has been redone and looks great.

Re: What's new in 2017?

So good to be back among the STJ friendlies...really appreciate the good intel. Teresa, good to know about the barges and now I'm pretty convinced I better figure out another game plan on departure day. I may call AA just to see what's what because 2.5 hours should be enough, but rules are rules. R...

I agree! I hate people calling STT "The Rock". That was a crappy Nicolas Cage movie. :D anyway to each their own.

Re: Another Island ?

Sherry, it really depends on what you are looking to do. My son lives on Grand Cayman and I had made up my mind that I wouldn't like it. Surprise we had a great time. Great snorkeling and diving, great food all over and very easy to get a round.

Another beautiful day in SC!

Re: Villa suggestions much needed.

Vista Caribe - We've stayed here twice and it is nicer than La Papaya and it is at the top of your budget but very nice. The views are AMAZING and I like that the three bedrooms in the main house are all accessed by interior stairs - very homey. You would love this place in Virgin Grand Estates, oh ...

Re: Back to St. John! Just 2 Questions, please!

We loved Extra Virgin as well but it is pricey like ZoZos. Not sure what king of cuisine everyone but we always go to Roma's. The pasta serving our large enough that we end up getting two meals for the price of one! the have the best hot Italian sausage.
