Re: Island Stones

I know you already booked Island Stones, but I had asked about this and a few other villas in the area on another forum a few months back. I had DMed with someone that stayed there, he said "Island Stones had A/C units throughout, although some worked better than others. We spent very little ti...

Hakuna Matata vs Island Sun

Hey! So I am trying to plan a trip for my family in 2020 and know we want to stay in the Catherineberg area. We have stayed in Island Sun before so know the road can be rough to the homes here and this isn't a deterrent. I want to try out Hakuna but love the views from Island Sun and aren't sure Hak...

Re: Aria, Bayview - Ajax Peak??

Not sure your budget but we stayed at Apito http://www.vrbo.com/249514 a few years ago and really liked it. Great Views, good location as long as you don't mind a short, steep, drive up Mamey Peak off Centerline.

Re: Skeeters

We were there last week and they were worse than when we normally go in the summer. I didn't get bit up to bad, but my FIL was a magnet to them. He was like Caw954, in that he was itching up pretty bad and said they felt like chigger bites. It probably didn't help him we'd get to the beach by 8.30am...

Re: Best off season month to visit?

We've been in beginning of Dec, end of April/beginning of May, June and July. I can't find a huge fault in any of the times we've been, but I guess my favorite was June. I am cold natured and Dec the breeze was a bit chill at times, pool was to cold for me to use at night, but getting away from NC w...

Re: Your favorite womens watershoe

My dad is a diabetic and I wanted to get him water shoes last year he could also use on trails. We got him the Columbia Drainmakers II. They also make them for women. He liked them very much, they drained well, dried quickly and were supportive enough for trails (he used them to get to Waterlemon, S...

Re: STJ (Over or Under) Reactions - June 2014

Thanks for taking the time for a mini TR!! I always love reading your thoughts. Great info and always fun/funny! We've been twice in June, and looking back at those pictures vs our trip this year in May you can certainly tell a difference, it was much more clear in May.....but then its "rainy&q...
