Re: 17 days in St John

RickG. You must have been the pretty boat with lights on at night. We commented on it. I bet it was really rough on the boat. The last week we were there the winds finally calmed down. I have loved reading of your adventures and so happy you have another boat. We had drinks at Danforth bar one day b...

17 days in St John

17 Days in St John. We always come in Jan but this is the first time we had such high winds at night. It would calm down during the day but the first-week visibility was poor snorkeling. The island is green and lush. It had rained a lot before we got there. The noseeums were out after 3 on some beac...

Re: Trip report Jan 5-Jan 26th

Yes, we were happy with the snorkel places. We never felt rushed and would snorkel an hour or more each stop. The last stop long bay out by point we had been there several times before was the only stop I would of ask for a different stop. Not much there. We did see an octopus though so made it wort...

Re: Trip report Jan 5-Jan 26th

Us HOOSIERS have to stick together. Well, the dipping eggs term came from my best friends boys. When I would have them over and cook for them they would always ask for dipping eggs, either over easy or med so you have yolk to dip toast in. My favorite as well! Pizza Pi Sweet home Indiana was White p...

Trip report Jan 5-Jan 26th

My husband retired from work on Wed and we left for St John on Sat. What a way to celebrate. The weather was dry with only a few rain showers in 21 days. So with little rain, very few bugs and no see ums.The first week stayed with friends at Lunazul. We ended up eating in most meals except lunch. Th...

Trip summary March 18th-29th and long trip blog

So thankful we went. The island still has everything we are looking for. It was our favorite trip so far. Our love has grown with great admiration what this tiny island has accomplished in such a little time. Jeep rental Courtsey has always treated us right. Business building is being rebuilt. We di...

Re: 10 more days in paradise--the full report

Thanks for taking the time to post. As usual your reports are amazing. I am not sure what you do for a job but you should seriously think about writing an island or restaurant cookbook. When you cook your food always looks so inviting. My food pictures never turn out like yours. So glad the octopus ...

Re: Trip report Jan 14-28

Culebra is definitely on our bucket list. Where did you stay when you were there? I have been looking up information on it but can't find a lot of info on it. From what I have read it looks like it would fit our needs. Virgin Gorda was a nice ending to our vacation and might due that again in 2019. ...

Ed,

Too funny about being a stalker. I definitely am a stalker and live vicariously through other trip reports.

We had only been to the baths twice before too.To me they are two totally different islands but we loved the tranquility of Virgin Gorda. We plan on returning in a couple years.

Re: Trip report Jan 14-28

Loved the snorkel at otter creek in Hurricane hole. We saw so many fish but our camera was new and battery died. I do not care for Princess mangrove snorkel as much too shallow for me and you do not see as much. My husband actually saw the eel. It was vibrate green and blue but color did not show up...

Trip report Jan 14-28

This was our 10th trip to St John. We have traveled 9 times in Jan and once in June. This was my favorite trip so far. We are weird in that we prefer the East and South Beaches and quiet places. We still love St John but have found it becoming too crowded in the last few years. We like to travel in ...

Here on island and just celebrated my 60th last week. I must admit being here helped ease the pain. Dinner at ZOZO;s helped too. Enjoy
