Maggy & 2CatLimit- I just had to jump in and mention that my husband and I have 5 wonderful cats :)...I've been cut off though (by my husband). We don't have any kids yet, so our 4-bedroom house is more than adequate for the two of us and 5 cats...and I swear to you, I am NOT the crazy cat lady...

I guess my next question is..... how is this parking spot noted???? I mean, what is the signage, and notification of it's designation? Been a couple years, but I do not even recall a handicap spot..... Maybe Ruth or someone else on island can get a quick pic to show us.....

Contest it with the credit card company.... and isn't the car insurance supposed to cover this kind of thing?.... oh, and who the hey is HOSPITALITY CAR RENTAL, anyway? The old Curtesy? Great way to treat tourists who just probably dropped about $10,000 into your local economy. That policewoman woul...

I believe it was a large shark, also believe it was a tiger. The folks were on island last May, went fishing and of 4 fish caught, not one was landed whole, the sharks got the rest. I also heard that there were tigers out there, feeding on a whale carcass in the last year as well, it was towed to re...

Just a little advice, I think I too, may be a hard fit, so before next trip will be at scuba shop, to get good mask. We will literally spend 6-8 hours a day in the water face down if left to our own devices on STJ. I will go the extra to be sure that my mask fits. However, for new fins and dry snork...

Xislandgirl; I am so sorry if I made it sound like every agency and or employee was like this..... I sure did not mean for it to sound like it....I was merely exploring a possibility, that once known, could be an improvement in the system. My larger concern is actually the guests who do not notify t...

The hanger thing brings up an interesting situation..... how many "good" villa guests, if they find something out of place or wrong will notify the management company? Had family rent this spring, a well known villa, that was on the market for in excess of $5 Million..... with uncleaned ba...

USVI Lovers with Allergies

Since I have allergies, I know that sometimes mold and pollen counts are important.... especially if you don't want to let it ruin your vacation. I found this web site with daily measurements, as well as a log to see how the months trend  I have it bookmarked for future trips... http://www....

Sorry I can't recall what month, but I recall Caribbean Travel & Life running a story on a family of STJ native artisans, and one of the brothers was a wood carver, of native woods. If I recall, his sister has a doll shop.... should be somewhere between January and August, if I recall, anyone ha...

I am truely sorry for your negative experiences, and I really hope that your villa company will not rent to the "problem" guests in the future, so you will not have to deal with the problems they bring. I also hope that in the threats to "trash" your villa and the rental company ...

The $10,000 a week part got me thinking. That certainly would narrow it down quite a bit as to which villa, no? Wayyyy out of my price range. :D That price range may be a part of the problem, those of us who cannot afford that rate, well, we understand that a little consideration goes a long way, t...

Not to burst any bodies bubble, but a couple of years ago, we had the identical tire situation with Curtesy, and they are not recommended by the villa company they use. So I recommend following the villa companies recommendations, have done so ever since with multiple cars, and have never had a repe...

If I had to guess, I would say that the barb probably severed his aorta, and when he removed the barb, he died almost instantly from blood loss. I haven't been able to figure out if it was a gentle way for him to go or not, but I do know the world is a lot less wonderous without his enthusiastic per...
