Re: Orchid Hill Villa

We have stayed in villas on Maria Bluff, Chocolate Hole, Hart Bay and Klein Bay and the pools have always been very warm and the breeze was not a problem. Coral Bay has a reputation for being very windy and several people on another forum have reported the pools are very cool in Coral Bay. The pools...

Re: A massive update!

Hi Anthony. I tried to get on the villa review section and was successful until they said I would get an email to confirm my registration but I never got the email. I tried a few times after that but it kept rejection my password. Should I wait awhile before I try again? I also love the new format a...

Island Garden Cottage Coral Bay?

Anyone familiar with this small cottage? Website says easy walk to Coral Bay. We cannot figure out how high it is. We prefer to be as close as possible to Aqua Bistro, SkinnyLegs etc. We do not want to drive up extremely steep hills after dark. We have stayed at Zootenvaal and were fine driving and ...

Re: Wondering why no solar?

Glad to hear that there is more than I realized but shocked to see the cost. I see solar grids on houses and along the highways and even at my dump here in Mass. I know from my daughter,s new home that Mass. gives good tax credits for solar and they build credit with the aggregator(utility companies...

Wondering why no solar?

After reading about electricity costs on the island I am wondering why there appears to be so little solar. I think I saw that Lime Inn had some sort of backup but
I have not noticed solar on villa roofs. Anyone know?

Re: Open Restaurants

Pretty much all the restaurants were open in April Beach Bar was being worked on and might be open soon. Asolare and Shipwreck Landing were destroyed. The Fish Trap has been replaced by a new restaurant. I don’t know about seasonal closings. The websites or Facebook pages of your favorite places mig...

Re: 2018 Roll Call

We had booked for two weeks this April last spring and are still going. The Crows Nest in Coral Bay survived and Star Villa has one of their places ready for me and my wife. Both of those places were very nice and allowed one of our adult daughters to share with us when it looked liked Cinammon Bay ...

Re: Videos and Pics from last week

Thanks for posting those videos and your honest but hopeful comments. I think the fact that linemen and emergency workers are inviting family to ST John says a lot. We are coming with adult children and grandsons in April and It looks like we are staying near your Villa. We are in KLein Bay. By the ...

Re: PHL-BOS-STT----JetBlue reliability?

Well if the plane is on time I think it will be ok because Jet Blue uses one terminal at Logan. I am fairly certain you will not have to go through security but you probably should call Jet Blue and maybe they can tell you.

Re: Trip Planning

I agree that this forum has become far too quiet and I am not sure why. I always thought this forum was a better St John forum because it is smaller than the elephant on the block, although I admit to using Trip Advisor. I also agree that Trip Advisor is not always active in a good way lately. We ar...

STop the burn on St John

Interesting story and letter in the Tradewinds online about how to dispose of the wood from the hurricane. There is a petition you can sign.
