Re: Trip insurance

We have used Insure my trip and while we have never had to make a claim, it gives you a good overview of options. I will never use Allianz, My brother in law was diagnosed with a brain tumor 60 days ago and they are denying the claim saying it was a pre existing condition. He had no symptoms until t...

Re: Heavens gate villa

We stayed here about 2 years ago. It's a beautiful villa and you will enjoy your stay! When we stayed, Josephine's daughter managed the bookings and it worked out fine. There was a time when I didn't hear back right away, but her daughter was traveling and got behind. It worked out well and everyone...

Re: Advice on snorkel fins

We used our new tribord masks on our March visit. They worked great! We both have good regular masks too and can easily use both. I bought the tribord for my husband for his birthday and he looked at me like I was crazy! I'm not wearing that!! By day two he was wearing it exclusively and the couple ...

Re: Concordia tips?

We stayed in a two bedroom, two bath unit up on the hill for 3 nights. There were 4 of us and the views were great. The unit had a nice living room and deck and an open 2nd floor bedroom. There were ceiling fans and box fans, which we needed both, but it was usually cool by morning. There were a lot...

First visit was from a cruise ship! Vowed to come back and stay! Ciellidonna- Nice house (thought we wanted beach front, but now know we want views and breezes!) LaJolla Caribe- Love the location and views!! Great size house too! Had all of the kids and a friend with us. St John Livin- Coral Bay. Ju...

Re: Current water temps

We were there 2 weeks ago and I swam out to pelican rock. I had on a rash guard and by the time I got there, I was actually overheated! We found the water very comfortable at all of the beaches we went to. I had taken wetsuit tops with me in case, but did not have to use them!

Re: Trip to the E.R.

Thanks goodness it was only one!! Wishing him a speedy recovery and have a great trip! I had just made our reservations when I did my foot and I told everyone I didn't care how I did it, but I was going! Luckily by then I was in the air cast. I hiked to Salt pond, Waterlemon and Brown bay in that bo...

Re: Trip to the E.R.

Sounds like a lisfranc injury. I did this in Sept and was just able to start weight bearing in January. 5 broken metatarsals and some cuboid parts plus the lisfranc ligament. Same bruising on bottom of foot (signature result). We just returned from St John last week. Was able to do it on a air cast ...

Re: Heavens Gate Villa

I have to say, we had 10 people at the house watching the Super Bowl on Sunday and the couch was great. When I look for a villa to rent I prefer a real couch not the rattan ones with the cushions that come off. Those are uncomfortable. I won't rent if the villa doesn't have comfortable couches, chai...

Re: Heavens Gate Villa

We are here at Heaven's Gate and it is fabulous. Everyone in the party's jaw dropped when we arrived and saw the view. It is stunning and the house is beautiful. It is beautifully decorated and comfortable. Everything is first class and there are plenty of supplies (floats, masks, fins, noodles, cha...

Re: How about Haulover North?

We snorkeled Haulover North on one of our trips. It looked very interesting, but we didn't spend much time there. The wave action was pretty tough and we had a hard time avoiding the coral. On a calm day, I think it would be great
