I think it's because my parents have a spring and a cistern at their house, and it gets plenty of critters in it. (My grandpa used to say -- as long as they're alive, you know the water's good!) So, I'm used to drinking water that hasn't been run through a processing plant! I figure if our house doe...

And, don't forget: it starts April 1st! I'm guessing it's a joke. I have T-mobile, and when I was there in 2007, they didn't offer service but I could roam on AT&T towers for free. I had pretty good service in Cruz Bay and Coral Bay. However, T-mobile bought SunComm, which I guess offers service...

Actually, I was thinking that too, but a Skinny's cheeseburger with a painkiller would be heaven.

Discontinued? I will have to find some and stockpile.

Toys R Us did have their own brand of Neat Sheet for sale. They were pretty good. Haven't looked for them recently but we had them at the beginning of summer. Maybe try the website?

A dog is a pretty good security system. Both my house I'm in now and the house I was in before had security monitoring. Here I have door alerts, motion detectors and glass breakage on the back of the house. My house came hardwired with the system, but I did have to pick a company. When I moved here ...

I just read "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks." Amazing book. You won't be able to put it down. Very interesting story. I learned a lot, but it was told in a way that kept you turning the pages.

Re: Umbrellas

Thanks so much Iprof. That was just the info I was looking for. Now I just have to search for a chair. I know several rental villas that have at least 1 each, but none are rented through Privatehomes VI. Of course, if I could ever get back to Spellbound, I could pickup 3 unbrellas,2 chairs, 3 snork...

Yes, I love it here.

The Union Station is right downtown. Short walk or cab ride to all the sites down there. I love that hotel.

If you have any questions or want to grab a drink, give me a shout. I love when people come to visit.

I read Charlie's last "statement" and I honestly think he might be self-medicating mental illness with drugs and alcohol. Because he sounded less drunk and more delusional and paranoid.

Whatever his issue is, I hope he gets help soon.

Is your conference downtown or out at Opryland? Regardless, you have to get downtown to see all the sights, and I definitely second the Ryman and Country Music Hall of Fame. Tootsies is OK, but all the honkytonks are pretty cool. The Loveless is good for brunch, as is Pancake Pantry. They're both us...

I had a dream once that we got to our villa and it was nothing like was described -- dirty, fraying carpet, not enough bedrooms, just nasty. And the worst part was when we went to leave the villa greeter had stolen our Jeep. Awful.

I lost it when I saw that picture of Carrie and Mr. B. I hate when young people die. I hate when old people die too, but I really hate it when lives are cut short. It is amazing that you can become friends with people over the Internet and Facebook, all because you had the same favorite place in the...

One time, I had a villa owner tell me: Go get the plane ticket you want and then pick your villa based on what fits into your timeframe with your airfare. It seemed backwards to me, but at the same time if you're not picky about where you stay (which I'm really not) then it makes sense. Maybe I'll t...
