calif girl, I don't know if you'll get this while traveling, but a few restaurants to consider near seven mile beach area or thereabouts are: Ragazzi Reef Grill and the ultimate is The Grand Old House, a bit fancier, but oh so beautiful to experience, it will transport you sitting with the waves cra...

Non-plan Plans

This is my 3rd trip, though it's been 3 years since, to STJ. I'm showing my boyfriend the island for the first time, and only have a few days for this short trip. Since we are staying at Lavender Hill, I'm thinking La Plancha del Mar for the first nites dinner, right in town w/ a view. Are reservati...

Wow, that's big, and Maho, my favorite, I would have passed out for sure....I had thought it was always wise to assume that even a nurse shark, while extremely unlikely, could turn on a person, so good to keep a distance....does anyone know if this is true about nurse sharks or are they 100% docile?

@ Sadams: yes, I will definitely post atleast some details on Lavender Hill....I'm usually a Coral Bay or Concordia girl, but I know I will enjoy the convenience of being in-town and merely walking to dining and bars. I can't wait...even after living in the Carib for the better part of the past 2 ye...

I will try to post something on Lavender Hill for you, I'm staying in 10E, so it should prove a reasonable comparison I would guess.....and, yes, very lucky on the jeep, thx to such helpful forumites! Every other rental place I called nearly laughed at me and just kept saying, it's February! (high s...

I'm booked! Is a Last Minute Car Rental even possible??

Hello All, I'm happily booked for my last minute weekend getaway, Feb 11-15, staying at Lavender Hill and now facing the expected crunch of trying to find a jeep rental, even if just for one or two days....I've called quite a few of the local agencies with no luck....any ideas? I might need some out...
