No see um sounds like the most unhappy person on the most beautiful island on earth. I took a good look at it myself. Let's drive by an empty jar on a mailbox every day for two months. And do nothing about it but post a complaint about when is someone going to do something about it. Seriously, my u...

another vote for the Anne Frank museum. Get there early. I went in college so I don't remember much in terms of details but I did love the Anne Frank museum. The Red Light district has become a tourist trap so avoid it. I remember a walk though a really quiet neighborhood that ended at a windmill. C...

Read "The Lace Reader" by Brunonia Barry over the weekend. Like it a lot! A great family story- a little bit of the supernatural, a little bit of scandal, a little bit of everything. Takes place in Salem MA and Salem is almost like another character in the book. I lived there for a while ...

I second In Bruges . Such a surprise! Wonderful, funny, painful and lovely. Shawshank is one of my all-time favs. Our family owned a video store and I would reccomend this move with a money back guarantee if the customer didn't like it. I never had to refund. It's based on Stephen King novella. The ...

The only good thing about losing power in the cold weather is being able to put all your groceries outside so they don't spoil :). I hope you get yours back sooner t...

Connie, that really sucks. You made the right decision but I know it hurts. Even when they are suffering and you know it's the right thing, it's still hurts so much. I worked at animal hospitals and we saw A LOT of blocked male cats. It's very painful for them and the treatment is also painful and t...

Me first! I loved going through some of the earlier threads! Great way to end a really hard work week. I really love this series of jokes- How Fights Start My wife sat down on the sofa next to me as I was flipping channels. She asked, "What's on TV?" I said, "Dust." And then the ...
